Assessing Community Needs and Resources

What is this resource? This webpage offers a format to assess community needs and resources. The Community Tool Box website is designed “to promote community health and development by connecting people, ideas, and resources.” Examples accompany each toolkit, including one of a university-school partnership (see #11) to assess middle school health programs.

Why is it valuable?SWIFT not only asks communities to partner with schools, but that schools identify how they can partner with their community. This tool and examples provide a structure to hold constructive conversations and develop plans for this type of partnership.
