What is this resource? This two-page article from Reading Rockets explains how an educator can use peer-assisted learning to enhance the reading outcomes of students who are English language learners.

Why is it valuable? This article links to studies which have evaluated the effectiveness of peer-assisted learning, each of which demonstrated high levels of impact. It then describes how an educator could design lessons to include peer-assisted learning as a natural and common support.
