Improving Reading Comprehension in K-3rd grade

What is this resource? One of The Institute of Education Sciences’ products, this collection focuses on building the comprehension abilities of young readers. There is a practice guide as well as overviews of the five suggested practices which are labeled by their level of evidence. These are each accompanied by video examples. 

Why is it valuable? According to the Institute on Education Sciences, when young readers are able to read with understanding, they have access to a wider variety of texts, knowledge, and educational opportunities. This collection of practices provide a basis for teachers who are assisting their young readers.
